Yes agreed. i didn't even really know what a strop was before this. heck i was using a culinary rod to sharpen my knives before. haha. looks like im gonna have to invest in some proper sharpeners...

here's the 2 i use.
the one with the handle is from KSF...it was originally longer but i cut it down so i could throw thpiece i cut up into an altoids tin "sharpening kit".

the other one was given to me buy a wood duck carver after he retired
