Taking my class on a field trip. Stuck on a bumpy, hot school bus with 48 loud kids. Checked my email and saw the busse newsletter. Tried to Order on the phone, no go. Calle the wife at work and she ordered one for me with the 10" cordura sheath. Love her much and nothing these kids do today will ruin my day.
The 911 with the RMD and my busse skeleton warden got me covered from skinning rabbits to moose. If the 911 gets here soon enough I may be able to use it on a bear. If not I will use it this fall for breaking down a moose or elk. Should open that ribcage no problem.

You've got a good woman Whelen Nut. There would be all sorts of wailing and gnashing of the teeth if I asked mine to order one for me.

Whoop whoop I got mine ordered! I dont have a big chopper yet besides my Kanetsune, but thats just too pretty to use. If the 711 can chop well, I cant imagine how the 911 will do

Ish, you will regret not getting a 911. I don't often say that about any offering, but the really large knives aren't as common as everything else and are more heavily sought after. I understand the frame of reference, but don't really consider whether something is desired by the market as my own measure of "need". I sold my B-11 (after quite a bit of use), and my BattleRat (kept the B-11 instead)....primarily because they were too "heavy" for my purposes in the field. I couldn't clear a trail with vines / thickets / thorns everywhere worth crap with the B-11. Chop a tree...sure, but I don't need to chop trees on a regular basis. They are both great knives...but just not sure the big ones fit me. I'm loving the machete at the moment (and not a huge one...only 12"). Fits my needs very well when paired with smaller 4" knives. Maybe I'm just weird, lol. Maybe I'm just making excuses because all of my money is going to diapers

I wants it sooooo badly. Dan nailed this one. Is this the first big knife since the DogFather? How many years ago was that? 4? 5?

My girlfriend was all good and into my knifeaddiction untill I bought 3 311's... One of them was for her!!! Then she thought I had gone too far. Greed is a deadly sin. Now I have no support from her... But I won't let that slow me down

Maybe I'm just making excuses because all of my money is going to diapers You have my sympathy. Once my little boy decides he wants to start using the potty then I'll be back to buying diapers for one and decions like this will become a little less difficult.
