The RMD is a favorite of mine as well. In fact, its my favorite knife in the size range (the Rodent 6 might take this honor upon arrival and testing). I like your gear (Nalgene, Maxped, 9mm, Bussekin) = man ready for about anything. Hopefully your back will heal quickly, and you'll be able to spend more time outdoors! Dead trees are down. Mostly the last of my pretty Red Bays that some beetle got.
