There is something "Taliwhacker"-like over it, which is one of my absolute grail knives.

It's a Kabar made Becker BK-5 Magnum Camp Knife. It's actually a collaboration between Ethan Becker and Jerry Fisk (Ethan=handle, Jerry=blade). Jerry is kind of a big deal. Looks like someone stripped the coating and upgraded it with some micarta handles. Congratulations, JJ!

I'm quite sure that this is the original version produced by Black Jack Knives waaaay back. Probably Beckers started getting numbers when in production by Camillus.

Just saw an ad in Tactical Knives on ka-bar knives, the Becker short models the a 5.5 inch model. That has got to be the model JJ got. It just doesn't look like a 9 or 10 inch blade.
SO JJ, can we expect a comparison between the Ka-bar and your Wardog?
