Actually, the Stache and Thinning Gray hair was because of the tremendous strain of leadership experienced by someone with my vast leadership experience and abilities.

Haha, waders probably wouldn't be enough. Better inflate the life rafts!

You tell 'em Randy. They only dare to pick on you when they gang up on you

Randy, looks like a large portion of that limb is hung up on the front of your shirt. Be careful while chopping it.

HAHA, I never realized how well the shirt and limb blended together. Never Fear Marine, the only part of my body to touch the limb was the hand holding it as I chopped with the other.
I probably would have been a lot better off chopping back further on the branch where it was thicker. Would have been less chopping, but the ticks are already out IN FORCE and I didn't want to get out in the weeds any more than necessary.

Then I considered I was chopping on a dead, springy limb. Once I got to a slightly larger part it chopped really nice. The ticks roll, to give doctors something to claim is LYME disease and charge you or your insurance several thousand dollars to "Cure"! Least wise that is the only thing I can figure they are good for.

Chopping dead hard wood is not easy with anything. Last year I chopped up some of my long dead (and now extinct) red bay trees. I tried the ESEE Junglas, the Buck Hoodlum, and finally my fully convexed BWM. The BWM did much better than the others on that hard wood, but finally, I brought out the Stihl. It won that chop off.
Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

I Know about chopping dead wood Vic, but I was so excited to finally find a limb blocking the road at Mingo that I didn't think about it until I had already chopped off one portion. The first swing into a maybe inch and a half thick branch of the limb resulted in a very good cut over half way through. But the wood being dead and pretty dried out PLUS being so springy it was just hard to cut.
I changed the way I have the chopping lanyard attached (it is now through the lanyard hole AND the last hollow pin and will draw up tight. Actually almost to tight but I figure in time it will stretch out some.
