I'd buy several if it had small dual guards. Or dual catches like the one on my old Yard Hooks.
I'd prefer the War Dog handle and blade shape
Shorten [maybe, or not] the blade length slightly (to 3.5 or 4") and starve it.
Sharpen about an inch and a half of the spine.
Those are my preferences.
Oh, steel preference??? 154CM > INFI > other.

Dual catches sounds really sweet

IMO there aren't any of the existing SY handles that really fit for a boot knife... Maybe Dan has a new handle design for us?! Or maybe I am just on a wild goosechase.

I would think a new handle would be in order, something thinner.

Is this what you are talking about? Not to sound like a party pooper but check your local laws on double edged blades, I know they are illegal here !

Just grind one side flat. Obviously I don't know your laws, but I'd think that would satisfy the legal requirements.

As long as it is only a "tool", and not for self defence (stupid law), or concealed, it's all good. I have a pair of these on order. I will have a very nice box cutter that only needs to be sharpened half as much
