When I got my TG LB and realized how much I loved it, I became interested in the SYKCO Regulator. I made a post about how I was interested in buying a regulator. I put it on the backburner, but intended on snagging one at some point.

A little while after my post, a fellow Dog who I consider to be a friend contacted me and said that he was going to mail me a picture, along with something small that he had lying around that he thought I might like. I thought that maybe he was going to send me something he made or some type of survival item.

When the package arrived, it felt a little heavier than I had expected. I unwrapped it to find a letter and a letter addressed to me, along with a picture of a super cool sword that he owns. The letter explained the contents of the package. I thought it was a joke, but I unwrapped the item and found this:

(I already had the TG and Scrap Yard Challenge Coin.)

I promised my benefactor user pictures, but I haven't been able to get out of the city in a while because of work and being sick. Anyways, I have used the blade at night in the shared yard that my apartment complex has to baton, chop, cut, whittle, throw and STAB!! Man this knife is just great, I absolutely love it!! I would take the Regulator into the woods as my sole survival blade without question.

I am going to do a full review with pictures when I have the time and strength to get out of the city. When the zombies come, I'll have to use my TG for obvious reasons, but I will definitely be giving the Refulator to my best friend.

Now all I need is a sheath that will fit it!! I have an old cordura sheath that I got at an army navy store that fits my TG, but the Regulator is far too thick to fit.

Many thanks to my benefactor! It's hard to put into words how great of a person you are and how you have such an amazing gift to inspire others with your words, actions and your attitude towards life. I am not just saying this because you sent me a knife, it is truly how I feel.

There are so many stories of Scrap Yard brotherhood generosity, some that have not been told. I have been the recipient of some of this generousity and have also tried to be generous myself. I am sending one of my SYKCO blades to a friend who doesn't have any fixed blades in the hopes that another great guy will join our community.

The person who gave me this blade did not want anything in return or any recognition. It's people like him that inspire us all to be generous and good people! I hope that this Dog's generousity will be an inspiration to everyone here who is part of our brotherhood.

Tom: I love the tattoo, but the Muk LE is torture to me!! Someday I'll get another one, someday.

P.S. along with the Dog who sent me the Regulator and many others, Private Klink represents everything that is good about the Scrap Yard brotherhood! There are so many great people here; I have yet to find another place quite like it.

Congrats Flux!

BTW the $24.95 sheath in the store is the actual sheath that came with the Regs when they were offered. They are great for the money.

Thanks for letting me know! I had read that a while ago, but hadn't thought about it. I'm thinking some leather would go nicely with it, or I may have my buddy bend me a sheath. Decisions, decisions..

Congratulations Ryan! Good on you for "Passing it forward" as well.

TOM, That's cheating, it's not a REAL Challenge coin! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
