Rasmus, don't give up. Keep trying, Use any of the Busse Combat email address you can find and someone will respond to you. Things are probably still kind of hectic following Blade.

I've owned both the SFNO-LE and the NMSFNO. I kept the NMSFNO. I think both are great but the latter has the rounded spine and a bit more length that, I think improve its utility at a very small weight penalty. In fact, the extra blade length shifts the balance point to make it a formidable chopper for its size yet, without sacrificing its quickness. It's my go to camping blade (for now).

I'm not trying to talk you out of a SFNOLE, but make sure you try the NM version as well. If I could justify it, I would have kept both.

Oh, I won't give up <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
I e-mailed Garth, and Yes I bet he is backed up after blade. Word has it he did a great job there.
But if I don't hear anything, I may ask Pokey to give him a poke... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />

The NMSFNO is a close second, and I have considered it. I am just a sucker for blades in the SFNO size range. It is the compact feeling it gives...

But I am not ruling out giving the NM a go as well. I think I could justify it <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/doh.gif" alt="" />

3. S5... GREAT midsize blade, sort of broad for a 5 inch blade, but not so broad that it would hinder any kind of use (inside body cavity use).

Randy, WHY are you using knives in your body cavity??? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

While the Camp Tramp makes more sense to me, I've really been liking my Battle Rat more lately...

I'm quite suprised by the number of large blades mentioned, I figured if this was the only knife you could carry for all tasks that a smaller, more EDC like blade would be chosen.
I never said an axe/hatchet couldn't be used, this would then cover larger tasks when camping etc.

I thought for sure some would have picked the ScrapMuk !!!

Skinner. Yes I know it can be used for a multitude of other tasks, but to me a blade with that much belly screams SKINNER! Not bushcraft/camp setup type tasks.

What I THINK would be MY personal knife setup is:

911 (When I get it)
Bulldog or Regulator
S5 or Wardog (I would probably go with the Wardog with this setup)
Mud Puppy, 311 or Swamp Warden (with a heavy leaning toward the Muppy)
Cupidvore/Scrapivore (the cupid is first cause I don't have a Scrapivore)

Or if you HAD to choose,
911
Bulldog
Wardog
Mud Puppy
Cupidvore or scrapivore, which ever one you have. And with the Muppy you could always drop the Cupid/Scrapivore.

Consolidated all my Bussekin's into these 2. I came to the conclusion that these 2 will handle any situation I have come across where a knife may be needed.

Busse MOAB and a Sar 6.

Bapple, I would say that is a good pair! For grins and giggles, how long is the blade on the MOAB?
