Headed out with Satsumatengu today and took a few Rats along for the hike ! Suma, I though I had good knives in the past, but NONE of them have held up (edge retention) like my Bussekin blades. They continue to amaze me all the time. Guess I am turning into a knife snob, I only buy Bussekin blades now. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

What did you think of the Vex Pit? I love the Vex buddy, great size for a woods edc.It's very light yet large enough for making traps, fuzz sticks, food prep etc. I'm thinking this knife is going to get carried a lot.

IF you have one Pit, how would you compare it to the Mud Puppy? I missed out on the mud puppy but looking at the specs I'd say they are very close: (SY) Mud Puppy (LE) (154CM) = 5 oz; .185”; 3.25” blade; 8.25” oal (SRKW)Vexillarius (Linen) (D2) = 5.25 oz; .14”; 3.75” blade (from front of choil); 8.25” oal

I thought they were close but it looks like the muppy is .045 thicker and a half inch shorter?
