i know it sounds strange but is it a tick...... if you dont know what it is be careful with pulling it out. how large is the object.

I actually just pulled a tick off the inside of my dogs ear the other day. It was as big as a pencil eraser...

It's nasty. I want my wife or son to pull it out with tweezers or mybe pliers. Have you tried a warm moist compress then tried to pop like a pimple? No the wound is open the size of a pencile that is how we can see this thing. There's no turning back now....You're dog is turning into a zombie. You must terminate him at once! Thats mean.
