Speed kills was the title of an old Thrasher skateboard vid. Ahhh...You are a skato? I was in my teens and early 20s. I am 33 now and still have my skate in the truck. Too dangerous to be doing tricks anymore. I just cruise. that makes sense This was me until about 18, gave it up for the same reason you gave.....Way too dangerous and I'm lucky I got off with a bunch of very minor injuries. Skateboarding is gnarly to say the least, and you have to not care about your body to be any good at it....

Steel is a far more satisfying addiction....alchoholism is an ugly disease. Don't know how it is a disease. You can't catch alcholism. I agree, the "experts" still call it a disease though.

I got way into it. I liked going fast and big. Now I am an endurance runner and live a much calmer life.
