I'm not really sure what name is on the tin for the pellets but they work out pretty well for me. I don't figure I will ever shoot anything bigger than a possum or a coon, and I would would want to be within 10 or 12 yards for one of those.

Todd works for Burke county, about an hour from Ashville but can't remember if it is east or west of Ashville. Now THAT is a pretty area of the country. I drove through there a couple times while I was stationed at Pope AFB, next to Ft. Bragg.

I had thought a couple times about going with the light weight plastic pellets with a steel ball for the nose, but the beemans have been working well for me.

My rifle is throwing the .177 pills out at about 1000fps.

thats pretty fast. Ours are about the same, they claim faster with PBA pellets, but I havent chrony'd them

I could use a .22 with some really low velocity shells, but I just like the pellet rifle better. I'm old school I guess (cause of my age ya think?) <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> so I just feel it is less prone to over penetrate.
