spent my fun money on a S&W M&P Shield a few weeks ago... hoping to move a few items by my b-day and maybe maybe look a new blade. How is the Shield? Been looking at them but I haven't decided yet. haven't shot it yet but it's the best feeling small handgun i've held. and i've been trying to find one for years. ended up buying a 442 couple years back because nothing felt right. but the shield is almost perfect. trigger is super crisp so having the safety is a plus. right holster and right ammo and i think i'll be pretty happy... held the xds yesterday and while it's interesting the only draw over the shield is .45acp. but it's really square and it feels a bit odd like every other small semi auto. personally not for me as an edc. I was looking at the xds also but no one has them around here yet. xds is a little bigger from what i've been told. Have to wait and see.

I've got wide palms and the little girly pistols are just too small for my mitts. Love my Glock 17, but kinda wish I'd gone with the 40 cal instead.
