I have used Micarta, G10, and of course res-c. Looks wise, micarta and G10. Useability/great feeling...Res-c, NO contest.

I'm leaning towards Res-c these days. Im no help here....Every blade I own is Res C. I have beat the crap out of a Res C handle with a log and it hardly even took damage. The grip is excellent as well. I have never had a knife come loose while chopping.
I have never hunted an animal, but Ill make an exception for Micheal Vick!

Only blades I have that are bare steel are the Cupidvore and My Swamp Warden. For any serious use I prefer some kind of handle material, my number one choice of course being Res-c. (I am still coveting DT's B11 with the Dog Father Handle)!
