A sharpened spike can be removed from the skull of a Zombie easier than a wedge shaped blade.

A wise Zombie hunter of many years once said. It is far easier to up your Zombie count by using a blade than powder and lead.
A blade is silent. Silence IS golden when deep behind Zombie lines and will not alert them to your presence unnecessarily. Very true....true indeed. They also don't run out of ammo, just a little touching up of the edge every 10 zombies or so....

When facing a Zombie, first cut from one side to the other THROUGH their outstretched arms so as to prevent them from grabbing you and pulling you into biting distance. THEN, at your leisure you can remove the top of their head.
