A couple years ago, this place had quite a few chop offs that included current and past large bladed knives and machetes and showed how busse kin blades stacked up against the competition. Is there anything similiar currently?

I did a search and found a couple good reviews, however, they only included a couple knives in them. That being said, are the 911 and rodent 9 both through hardened? has anyone tried both and have preference for chopping?

Thanks,

911 and R9 are both through hardened. When the MOAD gets released, I'll be happy to do a chop off--MOAD vs DF vs Rat Mastiff vs Ranger 9 (with the 10" busse blank)

I keep coming back here every now and then hoping for one of HD's great chop off's ... I used to do a few myself when I was looking for what I liked the best ... once you find out though ... you're journey is over and the chop off's stop ...

Should be a few new guys though going through "the learning curve" ???

I don't buy choppers as much.

This fall I'm really hoping to get after it and do some "small blade: game processing" evaluations. Should be good times, and bloody

Or you run out of money buying new choppers.

I'd like to see SR-77 vs SR101 chop-off. Not to destruction but real uses like light wood chopping, batoning, cutting rope and last but not least, arm hair shaving. Ah, but which two knives that have similar blade profiles in the respective steels? Unklfranco

I try and get a few when I can...it's in my mind to add some comparisons when I can. They are not up to Vic's standard, but I want to try and do what I can!

Untill now, I have not had two equally matched contestants. I do now, with a kukri I have bought here in Thailand. So when I get home, I will set it up against my 711.
