We would all likely love to have busse, the swamp and the pound release a folder. This doesn't seem likely to happen any time soon. In the meantime, which of your folders best represents what a scrapyard knife should be?

Can't say any of mine really scream "Yard" to me...All I have right now is a para 2, Ritter Griptilian and 2 SAKs.

For me it's this one: ![[Linked Image from i1091.photobucket.com]](http://i1091.photobucket.com/albums/i393/amflud/025-1.jpg) Queen Cutlery Country Cousin. Great work knife with good steel (D2). The price to performance ratio is very good since I only paid $32 for it and it's made in the USA!

I would have to say my Chris Reeve Umnumzaan. Not the cheapest folder out there but it's built. Solid Titanium and Stainless steel.

I only own one folder other than SAK's but to me this is very much of the SYKW philosophy. My CRKT Prowler, super heavy duty but great price for what you get which makes it available to poorer folk such as myself ! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> Using it to get Fatwood~ ![[Linked Image from img810.imageshack.us]](http://img810.imageshack.us/img810/1117/p61000031.jpg) By pitdog2010 at 2011-06-10 And a little prying ~ ![[Linked Image from img15.imageshack.us]](http://img15.imageshack.us/img15/4743/p61000041.jpg) By pitdog2010 at 2011-06-10 The blade takes a very sharp edge easily and the lock up is rock solid. ![[Linked Image from img541.imageshack.us]](http://img541.imageshack.us/img541/3789/p61000071.jpg) By pitdog2010 at 2011-06-10 Before anyone says...but there is another folder in the last pic, that is my sons Opinel...also an awesome knife for the money but not for heavy duty tasks !

Never heard of that model Pit. Looks like a nice knife. OPINEL! Yeah Baby, I've got 3. And yes for the money they are a FANTASTIC blade. I've got two carbon steel and one Stainless.

I have been looking at the HEST folder 2.0, but paying that much for a knife a second time doesn't sit well with me.

I guess of the ones I own its got to be my benchmade 810 Contego. It's large, 4", has a well designed blade and handle. It has great tough steel of cpm m4. The blade is as thick as my ss5. Although it's more expensive than some but is solid and will last forever with a bit of maintenance.
