Hey Klink how did you go about starting sheath making and how much did it set you back? You don't need a big investment to get started. Leather scraps can be bought on eBay (ONLY get vegetable-tanned leather), a razor knife, sewing awl, leather cement, and a pencil will get you started. As time goes by and experience is gained you can buy fancier items; stamps, carving tools, etc. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

These new Scrap Max knives (all 3 variants) make kydex a bit difficult since the handle is so very much thicker than the blade. So, I'm leaning toward leather.
