No hot spot for me. After a little bit, my hand settled in and it found it's natural position. It was great after that.

Have M9 and the Mastiff, now 911... (once I pry it out of Andy's hands)... Couldn't get over the handle on R9... I held it once, but still not convinced about it...

I've heard complaints from people with smaller hands. But if you have big mitts, it should feel really nice.
