holy cow dice, she'll never notice! just don't keep em together!

The new one came with a really, really nice case - very noticeable - so its stuffed under the bed w/ the old guitar in it, and the new one is in the old case sitting out in the living room <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Great Axes man!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

Thanks. The new one, on the right, is truly a top of the line instrument. The other one is mid-range and has given me years of faithful service, and is pretty heavily upgraded (and isn't retiring yet!)

Shows how much I know I can't really tell'em apart at all...

Here's the twins. I've pulled the pickguard and selector switch rings off of them - the original has a zebra pickup in the bridge, hopefully she's not that observant!

Nice set of axes!!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bowdown.gif" alt="" />

Thanks - think she'll notice the new one??

If she asks about the pickup being gold, my truthful response will be "oh, thats just a gold cover" which is true.

She might......if you leave them beside each other. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/doh.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Yeah, I'll watch that <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> I deleted the pix from the camera already!

I also put my first ding in the new guitar today - I had them sitting side by side, and rotated them both at the same time like an idiot and the smacked together! Oh well, dents and scratches add character!

oh geez yes! it was great, I need to mark the pages!!!

"Great" would've been if I'd explained the solutions I've worked out. Somehow I never got to that. I guess I can just call it a trade secret. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

yes but the insightful part is those are things I would never have thought of without going through it, so you saved me time and now I'll have to figure it out (or email you!)

You never know......my wife still thinks I only have 10 guns............that was about 35 ago. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif" alt="" /> Think I'll get caught?

When you care enough to use only the best...stick'em with a SKYCO knife.

Nah, its all under the paint. The new one has a 1 piece neck vs. 2 piece, a 2 piece body vs. 4 piece, is African Mahogany instead of some lower grade mahogany, and has better electronics and hardware - they're visually almost identical though!

I just hope the wife never inventories my knife drawer, she thinks I have about 6-7 <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> That was about 15 ago.

"Russian Roulette" by DiceMan the sneak...

I bought like 10 guitars in Korea when we were stationed there. My trick was to buy one, stick it in the closet, and drag it out like two months later like it was no big thing, and she'd say "where did that come from?" and I'd say "this old thing!!?"
