Keep in mind Dan is all about keeping cost down to have an outrageous price to performance ratio, it probably costs a bit to make a completely new res-c mold. Most likely going to use ones that were already made ( and or have a mold for) I would not be shocked it the base thickness is around 5/16ths, same as the regulators if it uses that handle
