I just looked it up: that's between 450-675 kilograms. That's not so much for a truck is it? It's what I would expect a car to weigh. Mind you, I don't own a car so what do I know right?

B1, the half ton or 3/4 ton refers to the size loads it will carry. The 1/2 ton is just your every day ordinary (for here) pickup truck whereas the 3/4 ton is designed for a little more hauling/work. Heavier duty suspension, tires etc.
