Don't remember when or where, but one guy tried to steal a whole atm machine. tied a chain to his bumper, other end to the atm machine. It ripped off his bumper COMPLETE with his license plate and he drove off. They found him.
Another guy wrote a bank robbery note on his own deposit slip. The found him too.

I've heard of some guys who managed to rip out an ATM wit a truck and drive off with it... They didn't realize that money was stored below ground level and the just got the dispenser...

And ages ago heard of 2 idiots who broke in to a house, robbed it, they found a Polaroid camera took a picture of themselves and because it came out black they left the camera and pic behind...

I hate it when drunks try to hide the fact they had a wreck and blame their injuries on getting beat up by someone that just happened to drive by where they were walking, out in the middle of nowhere at 4:30 in the morning.

Stuff like that happens all the time. Or they will call in wanting to report their vehicle stolen and by a miracle it turns up in a ditch an hour or so later and THEY are all bunged up.
