The more I think about it.... I'm sure it's just me over-thinking it.
I'm going to re-profile the edge anways, so it shouldn't even matter....
I'll leave the pics up if anybody else wants to take a look, but I'm over it.

It's an awesome knife! If I had to pick one blade to depend my life on, it would be the DeReg. I've got more practical knives, but that's the most bomb proof knife I own.

AAF, If you look closely it seems to me that the grind marks are consistent with the rest of the blade. Yes the angle seems flattened (maybe) just a touch but the grind marks seem the same. I would say it came that way from Dan's Den.

You can, but with SR101, it does take just a tad longer. Be patient.

Touching up isn't so bad. I've come to really like convex edges though, and it takes a while to convert them over unless you have power tools.
