Hmmmm. I'm rethinking my water carry system. Right now I have a 25-27 oz bottle in the side pouch of my 511 Push Pack. Not to bad a set up, but I am not real happy with it.

I am thinking about a separate system. The klean kanteen 40 or 64 ounce SS bottle. I already have one of their 18oz bottles and love it.

Anywho, If I do get one of them, I am going to go with the maxped 10X4 or 12X5 bottle holders. I also have a couple SS 16oz cups and would want to fit one of them at least in the "Kit". Ideally it would be nice to have one cup on the bottom and have the bottle slide down in it (if it would fit) and one on top.

OK guys, What are your thoughts on which setup?

I already have two setups. Two SS 1 liter canteens and two SS cups. But the bottles have plastic tops on them so can't use them to boil water if needed. I really like them but when I bought them I didn't realize they had the plastic tops, PLUS for the two of us I think something more than 1 liter of water would be a benefit. I am just so indecisive sometimes.

I know that he was revealed as fraud, but Canterbury's Pathfinder School shop has a nifty set up - steel bottle, cup, little stove thingy, and a hanger for the bottle. It should fit in the Maxped bottle carrier

I have a goyte bottle (1L) and steel mug and stand. That allows me to boil in the bottle but I generall carry around 3 litres of water most of the time (in Aus you will die of thirst long before hunger) so i generally also have a 2l camelbak stuffed in my Eagle Becker pack.

Hey Skunk... how is your AO tonight ??

Pretty calm. Everybody has gone in for the night and I hope I don't have to call anyone out. Got all my work done so it's Play time! I'm trying to get to 46K by 0800 (got about 4 1/2 hours to go).
