So, tying this in to our previous discussion:
Asking what time of day is best to take a landscape shot is looking at an element of the picture in isolation, in the same sort of way that Plato was doing with a murder depicted in a play... instead of viewing any chosen element of a composition as a carefully chosen synergistic part of the whole, chosen to create a profluent expression. so the time that best suits what I'm trying to communicate, whatever that is is the best time.
