Thats how I make most of my sheaths, because the handgun is on the right side.

That's funny cuz that was my first thought and my second was now I could where the 711 on my right side. I normaly carry my CM9 IWB and a custom knife OWB together so that if the gun prints people think its the knife and it doesn't interfer with my draw. I also think 1st and 2nd line of defense. And I alway grab for the same spot.

N2S, is that 311 really 1/4" thick as stated in the Ganza Thead?

Mine is not 1/4", it looks like the same thickness as the Black one but I dont have a way to measure it precisely. Someone on a different forum had the exact measurements and it was less than a 1/4". I was looking forward to a 1/4 'er myself. I didnt really "need" a Tan version of the 311. My black 311 is a terrific knife. I dont think the Tan one will see any carry time. One more in the safe for future generations I guess. I Hope this helps.

I'm thinking it was meant to be 3/16" thick....1/4" is pretty thick for a 3.5" blade.

I thought that the blade was going to be to thick and the blade to short for the handle size. But now that I have it in hand it feels great a def keeper
