The S5 is a winner. The INFI of the LE is the icing on the cake.

Light enough to carry into the sticks, with enough blade to get the job done.

The 460V is 60 oz. But when we jumped that bear, it felt like it was made of carbon fiber and helium. It is a heavy handgun, but in the backcountry, it carries better than a rifle and still delivers enough energy down range to anchor big game (with good shot placement).

It

Great pics. I need to get out and try and call in a bear. Found a lot of sign while deer hunting last year.

I am curious as to why you want to shoot a bear?
To keep population down or for its hide?

Just curious! No blaming...

Rasmus,

I hunt bear for the challenge. I also like being in the area that I hunt in.

I know a lot of people that love bear meat, including two of my brother in laws.
Personally I don't like it.
I like some of the sausage and peperoni that my one brother in law makes, but lets face it with the right spices anything can taste good

Hunting a bear should give you a challenge I guess the real challenge is if you miss the bear, but it doesn't miss you...
Ever got a bear?

As for the taste, I have only heard it tastes grim. But then again, some people like liver...

The taste of bear can vary a lot, for example a bear that fed off of a garbage dump will usually taste bad even to people that like bear meat. While a bear that has been eating grass, berries and such will taste better.
Most people I know cook bear the same way that they would cook the similar cut of meat from a pig.
The secret with any wild game is to cool the animal quickly, in my experience most "gamey" tasting meat was caused by the hunter not field dressing and cooling the meat properly.
A normal sized black bear is usually not a particularly hard animal to kill and any deer type caliber will work on them
When I hunted black bear I usually used the same 180 grain 308 win bullet that I used for deer
