For some reason AC's are just impossible to fix. And the people who come to fix it are just imbicils.

And for some reason, women just can't stop spending. My girl has ZERO income right now, and still she keeps wanting to spend money.

My wife has funny spending priorities. I wanted to join a range that she thought cost $120 per month ($1440 per year) and she was ok with that. I explained that it was $120 per year and since I "saved" $1320 ($1440-$120) I could buy a new firearm. And that's when her conservative fiscal habit kicked in.

Have you tried threatening the A/C with a large knife? Sometimes that helps to scare off/ deter the micro elves that cause havoc in an HVAC unit, just saying


But that sucks HD, start complaining a whole heck of a lot to whatever company installed it, maybe you'll end up with a free system, ( or at least deeply discounted )

Hate to hear that Vic. My in-law are HVAC and they are crazy busy here in OK. I know you said it was a new one. Send me the details and I will ask my BIL or FIL--make sure and tell me the make and model.

The other day they had a call and they took care of it. At the vent it was blowing 63 degrees. House was at 85 in the evening and she threw a fit. FIL went back out and showed her the thermometer. Problem was it was 115 here and her house had no air for a few days, and the size of the duct work was old not to mention the unit was too small for the size of her house.

My mom wwas given extra money by the teller at a bank drive through. Being the honest sort she called the bank to report the error. She drove back and returned the funds. The next day week she received a call from a business saying her check had bounced.

It turns out that the bank deducted the reported funds after her call. Even though they put them back after she handed over the cash it was a large enough deduction that it triggered overdraft charges. The bank refused to take off the fees. So much for honesty and so much for intelligence on the part of the bank employees.

^^ That is why I like dealing with a small town bank. I have bought a vehicle before, written a check for it and THEN gone to the bank to fill out the loan paperwork (of course I called them first to explain what I wanted to do).

Lots of fail all around us everyday. Everyone gets protected now and failure is almost a badge of honor. Whatever happened to "life is hard, it's even harder if your stupid."?

And as far as not having your AC working, I don't know what could possible make me more cranky than not having AC this summer with the record heat. I'd rather go on a hunger strike.

Me too, I could probably survive on my Internal Storage for several months!
