Not an accurate way to gague the length due to the distorted viw of the blade, you would need both items laying flat next to each other.... the blade will most probably measure SHORTER by the method you propose... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> 1311...1311...1311...1311.... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

My coin is 2" exactly in diameter the name of the pic is SYKCO 1311 so I think that's a pretty good clue to the size <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I put a piece of paper on the screen and marked the coins width. that blade is 7 and 3/4 worth of coins. you can take the coin and rotate it so the angle matches. It bet itll be very close. So you guys are saying that the coin is 2 inches across?

The coin is in the background so it will appear smaller. The blade in the foreground appears larger. So you are not going to get a good result.
You should research Scale in photos.

That was actually a full side shot. It tapers toward the handle which is really disproportionately small for the blade <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
