One I spotted out hunting this year....

Do you know it they are worth eating?
I am usually wary of mushrooms with that ring around the stock. There are several kinds here in DK, with that ring, and with some of those, there is no turning back if you eat them. 3 days, and you are in the grave.
But then again, other mushrooms with that ring, are good for eating...

Patty and I have seen that same mushroom out at Mingo before. Does anyone know what it is?

The advice I received about that particular 'shrom mentioned something about white hot stomach cramps followed but something GHASTLY bursting from behind and then a trip to the ER... but who knows... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Then you should be hardened now...

But oftentimes it is just small and subtle differences that identify a good eating mushroom from a deadly one.
I don't take my chances with those subtle differences,and only go on the safe side.
