Hey JG, right now I have a Gregory 35 which is heavy at like 3 lbs. I use it for training. I am always loading it up with 30 - 60 lbs and walking, hiking with it on to trail. I would love to have the Mountain Laurel Designs Burn pack. Check them out. A buddy of mine had one and its really nice, well made and solid lightweight gear. I am trying to make something in the similar size range and features. Its a great pack.

they always say you buy your pack last when re gearing. I have all my other stuff in order for the most part. I carry a sil tarp that weighs 11oz and has a storm close option for the back. Also has a hook sewn in so I can attach my bivy to keep it off my face. I need to set it up and take a few pics. Been through a few storms with that set up with no worries. I have also had a six moon designs tent and it was great. I use esbit tabs to boil water in a small titanium cup in a cone to maximize heat. Ultra light stuff is fun to use. I go as minimalist as possible whenever I can now. I dont like spending time in camp I like to move and see stuff. Stop and play along the way.

Junk yard dog is 1000 posts. It will say it under your name. Changes at different counts along the way. Thats why we say people are making a run at the porch. If you post constantly and all day you can get your post count up in here.
