Thats the problem, the amount doesn't match anything outstanding. Only things outstanding that need paid for are 2 1311's and the KC elmax. Got Dinged for the elmax and then again for $205 and change - doesn't line up. HMM!

my hard drive failure just got a little better again!

when I picked up the computer I asked why they replaced the logic board ($600). she said that they replaced the drive and it was still doing the same thing. I was already told that i could ask to have my old drive if I didn't want apple to destroy it. I was just going to keep it and put some lead through it. well I just plugged it up and it's not showing any errors. it seems it was all the logic board. so now I have a extra terabyte of storage I can use! will need to run some tests and won't use it for critical files but should be fine for junk files I kept.

apple is just too expensive. for what they charge for the hardware they should include the apple care. this would help them compete and build customer loyalty. if I had spent the $2K and was covered like I was paying the additional $150 I'm pretty sure I'd still be on board.

other than that I've been happy with every apple computer I've had and will always us the operating system I think. but my next computer will be a build running ubuntu. for the same price as my iMac I could have a monster.
