SR-77 Khukri! I was just thinking of how tough the steel is and that one of the most appropriate blades it could be used for would be the Khukri...
It is claimed that a Khukri has never been broken, the chosen blade of the Ghurka soldiers.... well, if the ScrapYard made it, then we KNOW none would ever break!
...but seriously, that would make an outstanding outdoor tool... and with the proprietary heattreat, well.....wow.
Now don't get me wrong, I am going to buy at least two bowies.... but help me out here... just let say it with me...

This is what the Custom Dog Shop would be great for...if enough interest is shown, it could be a limited release!
EMail if you have a spare 460!!!!

Khukri's seem to be getting quite fashionable at the moment... Not really my thing but it would make sense- a sr77 khuk'. Res-C was made for big badass choppers...

I'd love a SR77 Khukri, but not one of those huge ones that they use to decapitate cows with in naipaul... I'd like to have one with a 8-10" blade but I want it wide and thick.... 2" wide at the handle 3" wide in the belly and 3/8" thick...

Man, this is a popular subject today. First the Swamp Rat forum, then the Busse Forum and now here. Earlier today I came up with a sketch for a Swamp Rat Khuk. It would be a 3/8" thick, 18" OAL Khukuri with a 13" blade weighing in at around 28 -30 oz. The handle would be the same type as on the new Ratweiler or in ResC for the Scrapyard line. The deep belly is for chopping efficiency. The choil was thrown in as an ode to the "Cho" found on traditional Khuks. Not sure how useful it would be here, except looking cool. ![[Linked Image from i35.photobucket.com]](http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d156/lefthandblack50/srandsy_khuk.jpg)

You ever chopped with a Khukuri..... There awsome. I have a Cold Steel Khukuri.. ( yes I have a cold steel knife, but this is the only one ) If Scrap Yard knives make one, I'd get it in a heartbeat...

Make that Khuk more Ak shaped and ya got a winner..
IMO Ak's are the best of both worlds...Very good as a chopper and still active enough to do battle with the zombies...I would go with a convex grind and have it differintially treated
Go with 3/8" thick steel and have it around 18"-20" oal and ya got youself a best sellar...Err if you could keep the price resonable

I've always liked the look of the (sabre) parangs reviewed on http://outdoors-magazine.com/s_summary.phpBut as I have a bit of an "allergy" to knives which don't have a visibly secured tang, steel-guard between the grip and the edge and a bomb-proof warranty from a reputable manufacturer I've never bought one... Just think an sr77 (or INFI) 12 to 18" long blade sabre parang, it'd take down saplings with one hit on a good draw cut! I suppose really I'd be like a more curved bladed one handed AK. Now that would be cool (not to dis' the khukri idea, a proper one of those is bloody scary sharp and choppy!)
