Yeah, I've got like 150 or so friends, almost all from "The Games" and I am thinking about getting rid of them. I NEVER cared about the games, or facebook either, but at times it does have it's Advantages. For instance, It allowed me to contact a guy I was stationed with in the Philippines back in '76!

Don't feel real talkative tonight, so forgive me if I'm not to jovial.

I hadn't used my FB since Feb, and the new layout is just plain annoying, so after the contest winners are announced, I may just shut it down for good. I know people so addicted to it that it brings great concern for their ability to function more than a few minutes/hours without it.

I have to vent for a bit:
Speaking of concern, I too am very disappointed in our country. The amount of technological distractions available is showing the cost via our nation's level of ignorant folks. On top of the most common search on g**gle being 'who is running for president?' yesterday, we were in line for 3 hours at the polls waiting to vote. Then while filling my ballot out at the table (there was not room for me and the baby to fit in a booth) I had 4 different women and one guy under the age of 30 ask me who they should vote for or who somebody was AS THEY WERE FILLING OUT THEIR BALLOT. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/doh.gif" alt="" /> They all had cell phones, mentioned texting/facebook while in line earlier and had absolutely no clue what they were doing there. This is a college town and I saw hundreds of young folks that gave me the same impression. Serves to reason this college town/county was one of the few blue counties in the state. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" /> At least we were able to work on our state level issues successfully, including eliminating the possibility of being fined for not having health insurance, and making the statement that corporations aren't people. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

This country will not heal until there is less access to TV, internet, cell phone, video games, etc like it was when this country was strong and independent thinking. No surprise the .gov wants internet in every home. You get what you pay for... and accountability comes to us all sooner or later. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" />

Tonight I am deeply disappointed with my fellow Citizens of this Country. I am doubly disappointed in the citizens of my state. They have voted in a path to ruin and deserve what they get. I am very worried about the future they have destroyed for my child.

My state has done bad things all the way around.

Nite Tim. I would agree to an extent. If they didn't get their "Content" from fb, phone,TV or what ever, they would still get it somewhere. What needs to happen is the Government needs to get out of our lives, schools, news...etc. And let the educators and parents teach moral values and that "Politically Correct" is a FOUR LETTER WORD!
