I use the tactical trueball and they do just fine out to 100 yards.

mb, we talking hunting a accuracy out to 100?
I have a couple boxed of remy slugs in my case. I just got them to plink with. saw this 500 at good price and was a total impulse buy. figured it would do for home defense over the years. turns out i would much rather grab a handgun. would be nice if my 500 could go off into the swamps with me.
just took the pistol grip and will be listing it tonight. hopefully I can get enough to cover a set of houges.

Yep. Lazi thats hunting accuracy. Most modern shotguns will work out to 100 yards with slugs if you do your part.

good deal... I'm actually anxious now to get some time in with a shotgun. didn't really see that one happening... had this one boxed up and even mentioned it in a few trades already. my kick lately was to find brush gun of sorts. looks like if I find the right loads the 500 may be a good option. at lead one that will save me some money..
recall my dad had some old 12 ga squirrel/rabbit loads. anybody tried these types of loads before? may look for some to test but I don't want to obliterate any bunnies.

12 gauge and a bunny is a bit much unless they are out a ways. I used to run bunnies with a dog and a 20 guage.

yup, that's what I was thinking. even with a light load it seems like potentially a lot of damage. we have a lot of rabbits on some property but will stick with the pellet gun and 10/22...

22 is about right for a rabbit. 12 gauge is great for birds since they tend to be a bit farther away by the time you get on them.
