I usually use a double boiler when I melt wax and I do it outside That was the good thing, I was outside and on the second batch, used a double boiler method

First batch fell over, and promptly burst into flames do to the turpentine contacting flame Be very careful my friend, I knew a guy that was heating turpentine on his kitchen stove. His house caught on fire and he lost his 3 and 5 year old daughters in the blaze Jeez, sorry to hear that man. That's why I did it outside, but still, fairly dangerous, I'd hate to get a mixture of wax and kerosine on your skin
