It was the china ones I heard about, but they charge almost as much for those as they do for the blue line. It just kind of turned me off of them at the time then I found Zt and never looked back. I have a Chinese made benchmade Vex folder. I REALLY like it, I've never had an issue with it and it is my "grunge" using folder. For stuff I don't want to use my emersons or Chris Reeve blades for. Oh and I have 5 "Butterfly" aka balisong benchmade knives. The run from the time when it was still Pacific Cutlery all the way up to about 1989. Never had an issue with any of them either.

I have never been a butterfly knife guy, but everyone I know and hear from say they are one of the best.

I started messing with butterfly knives when I was stationed in the Philippines. I had a hand made touristy POS.
I then found Pacific Cutlery and ordered my first one. Carried it for years,and have abuse the crap out of it. It now rattles like a baby rattle and has lost about a half inch of the tip (from prying up concrete and asphalt from runways and aircraft parking areas). They are nice to play with (I USED to could do double flipping) and they are VERY strong and sturdy when locked up. I usually gravitate toward the shorter ones for edc. The longer ones have 4-4 1/2 inch blades. All 5 of mine are stainless steel.

WOW, I just looked at my next years pay increase (My AF retirement check). I'm gonna get a whole $20.40 cents a month increase!
