You're welcome. You got me thinking about getting an AK. There's a show this weekend and again next weekend in this area. I'll have to keep a look out for an Arsenal AK.

my dad has a can of ammo from when he had a sks. don't know what he did with his rifle but the ammo is still here so ill run that dry. pick up some later...

still need to orders couple mags. was hoping my bonus would get me some bulgy mags and some m1a mags. looks like I'll have to limit my ordering to just one or two.

reviews says they are good rifle but the paint sucks. I'm hoping for a hog killer brush gun so pretty isn't a big deal.

and the prices on AK's is just steady going up! like $100 a year on the nicer ones...

Get the high capacity ones while you can. No telling what next year will bring.

yup, that's why I couldn't do a gsr or lever gun this time around. those would still likely be easy to get if the bans came back around. and if they do reinstate them ill be grabbing up a few mags this time.

From what I have read on these so far is that they are battle rifles, accurate and built to withstand punishment and abuse. If you wanted something pretty, take a look at the VEPR's. Beautiful walnut stocks and a great finish on the reciever. You got the right one for a hog killer.

my cousins use a sks to hunt deer. saw my dada once and just wasn't for me. but everybody that has one seems to speak highly of them. if I ever see a good deal on one I would grab it just to have something else in the caliber. either that or a CZ bolt rifle.

love the way the hinderers look but man that price tag. was cutting rubber glue off of bricks yesterday with my s60v blur. didn't mess up any but one slip and it could been ugly. had be comfortable doing that with a lot of $$$ in a blade. but I bet those are some tough knives.

The SKS's used to be all over at the shows and they were fairly inexpensive. Now if you see a few of them it's a lot and the prices have almost doubled over the past couple of years. If you can grab one, do it.

I've seen them as high as 700 bucks with some mags and a couple hundred rounds.
