I haven't had a chance to handle a laser strike yet - I love the blade size and shape, but hear the handles are a love-em or hate-em type thing. Did you hear Rowen is going to make a HEST4 this year? Yes it has been confirmed

Well like I said, mine is one of the original Rat 1 model folders also made by Ontario If I remember correctly. It is nice. Not a sharp edge on it anywhere except for the edge. They are supposed to be very good folders

Not a sharp edge on it anywhere except for the edge. yup - Ontario got that one VERY right. good ergos, light weight, edge geometry that cuts well and a HT that stays sharper than you would expect for longer than you woul d expect out of a lower end stainless. Don't remember if it's AUS 6 or AUS 8, but I used one while building my house and it did a great job of cleaning out hinge mortises and taking fine shavings off board ends to make joints fit perfect.

They are supposed to be very good folders When they went to a different manufacturer I think I remember a lot of folks griping about them, being not that great of knives, the the one I have is nice.

Bark river. Man I couldn't remember them.
THOSE are Kissing Crane?!
Wade and Butchers I haven't heard of.
They're nice knives though. Those older blades seem to have some kind of magical quality to them. Sharpen up and work well.
