I made sure that I stayed off to the left and did the actual cutting on the right side so if something did happen it would glance (and it did) off to the right away from my body, but it still concerned. And Yeah, it is a BIG chunk of steel, but it handles like a much smaller/lighter blade. I don't know How Dan did it.
