i'm really thinking about getting a rodent 3. my experience with the war 3 didn't go so well but I still want a buseskin blade for edc.

The version I got has black g10 and it's on the heavy side, but it's not too heavy and I really like it. Not to say I don't like the 311 it's awesome too. The res c makes it much lighter than the R3, even though it's bigger.

decide to measure the biggest one I caught yesterday.
just a hair under 12" and just under 15 ounces.

i'm guessing the R3 is along the same lines as the sar3. if so I think it'll be just right. beefy with just enough blade to handle everyday tasks.

Yep, I hadn't seen the resemblance to the SAR 3 before I held it today, and then it hit me. I think I'm gonna EDC it once I have a sheath. And the 311 will be my day hiking fixed blade.

pretty sure blade is a no go for me... if i can pick up a rifle and if i can a couple blades but its time to start spending on using the stuff I have.
