I am bringing my new steel hiking this weekend with my girls. They get to watch dad chop wood, I know atleast one person on the trip is going to have fun

Your girls are probably thinking that you just want to hang out with them. But actually you just want to play with your new toy.

The steel is always secondary. Getting ready to take them camping soon, cant wait to sit them around their first campfire together

My "kids" -- 40 and 41 years old -- still remember the great times we had fishing and camping and sitting around the campfire making pie-iron pizzas and toasting marshmallows.

I have always remembered how great my childhood was. My dad is a fishing nut. Has had us out camping and fishing since we where in diapers. Only way to raise 3 boys I am sure. Lucky enough to live in northern california where you could see a different terrain and enviro every weekend. Want my girls to have the same memories. Guess its the way I know how to raise 3 girls lol

No matter how old I get I will still remember doing exactly that with my parents.

As a kid I wanted to hang out with my friends instead of hanging out with my dad in the outdoors. Now, I really charish those memories.

My love of the outdoors was crucial in my moving from the Chicago area to s/w Missouri; the greatest move I ever made!
