While selling it to non-members would lower its exclusivity that does take away part of the neatness, but I think getting JYD etched into it is more than enough to make up for it. I get miffed when people buy a limited qty of something solely for resale - like what if in the next ganza resellers buy everything then turn around and sell it for more on the exchange? Seems like enough of that already happens :'(.

If I had the money to buy 25 for investment/resale, I'd do it too. But I don't, and so I'll be happy with the one that I do order (if I order one). I don't have a problem with the resellers, but I usually chose not to do business with them either.

My experience with the Knob Creek pre-show (night stalker sale) since Jerry announced that it's officially open to anyone who shows up, is that more than 1/3 of whatever the Busse crew brings to town is typically sold that night. Some very good stuff still makes it down to the range, but any rare, high-demand blades will be gone before the Knob Creek show opens. I've seen folks spend well into 5 figures and have been known to buy quite a bit myself, although I'm not a major player compared to some and have been "cutting back" significantly on my knife spending in the last year.

In my opinion, it's well worth the effort to arrive a day early and get in line at the Golden Manor motel for the pre-sale. The line starts forming quite early because some folks come in the day before the day before, so they'll be on-site that morning. I haven't made that effort, but I normally take vacation so that I can get into line a few hours before the doors open. I will probably attend again this Fall, but I haven't scheduled any time-off yet and am uncertain about exactly what I'll do right now.

Here are pictures that I posted after the last Knob Creek pre-sale:
OK, you asked for Spring 2012 Knob Creek pictures

Is that 'pre-show' on Wednesday? Thursday? Friday?

I'm going to try to take Friday off to go down, I can leave really early in the morning to get there... Driving should only take about 3-3.5 hours I think.

Thanks for the links!

If you have any details of the Busse show I'd appreciate that too . Especially since that is pretty much my only reason to go down at this time.

Jim, I'm jealous of you guys making it to Knob Creek! But at only one show a year, it's Blade for me.
