So I have been wanting a new hiking buddy for awhile. The added benefit of him watchin over the girls when I am at work is nice. Hes a mastiff chatahoula mix. Gonna be a big old boy. Now I need a good name for him. Thanks guys. I think we have settled in on Moose.
He is 8 weeks old and just the most mellow guy ever. Perfect around the kids. The 2 1/2 year old is still trying to warm up to him but other then that all is good. He is already laying at my feet right now while I am typing.

Catahoulas are great hog dogs. Good looking pup. I dont think I will train him to hunt, never know for sure but those instincts will give me comfort when we are out in the woods. Did not get to see the dad(Mastif) but the mom was big and beautiful. Came from a litter of 13.

Thanks gun dog. They grow up fast indeed. He is already super attached to me and the girls are coming around. Gonna be fun having a pup around. He loves laying at my feet. Slept all night next to my bed with no accidents. Cant really ask for anything more.
