I think a Southern get together is a great idea, although they're always a pain to plan, and I'm usually too busy, but I think it'd be great none the less! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />

Blade and Knob Creek are kinda get togethers, although a weekend in the woods would be really cool!!! I'm in Mid Tenn, and would love to join in if I can find the time.... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/banghead.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/doh.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/loopy.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

We would love to have ya brother, I think planning for spring is best. Gives us all time to make better arangements.

I am open to Ideas on where to hold the get together. I have a few spots around me but waiting to see the local of all interested. Try to meet in the middle somewhere. Tree chopping and fishing are top of the list <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

AG Russell used to carry some Busse's. That's where I got my first knives, but I don't think they come to the AG Russell gathering. If they did, something could be done in Arkansas around that time (kill two birds with one stone, so to speak).

I am up in the KC area, so a reasonable drive to Arkansas or Oklahoma, but don't know if I can get the time off until closer to whatever date gets chosen.

Spring might work better for me too, hard to say though...

I might have a few ideas in my area, I'll do so thinkin.

Chopping, fishing, sipping all sound good. Any interest in Primitive Skills? I've always really been into primitive skills myself, I never get enough dirt time these days, but I've had some training and know my way around friction fire making and a few other things to some degree. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

And this tread needs pics so here's a pic of some of my primitive stuff. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

I've got a few blades I could bring as well I guess. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

I am down for primitive stuff, doubling up events, hunting, air rifles, slingshots and steel. What ever anyone wants to share or do is ok by me. Nothing formal at all. Just a group of guys that share a passion hanging out, shooting the breeze and measin around with our toys. I do not want this to be structured. If we want to get organized to the point where we throw in on a pot for a bunch of food, fine by me. If we just want to bring our own, thats ok too.

Hey, I will definitely keep my eye on this one. Down SE Tx way, but have lots of family around Texarkana and practiced in Hot Sprtings for a year. Truly beautiful country and lots of neat places. Wife went to U of A so have prowled around Fayetteville a bit in the ole college years also!! Sounds like it would be great.

Sounds good Doc. I have only been here a few years. If you know of some good spots then I am all ears.

I'm in southeast Texas too. Between work and the kids I can't promise I can make it, but I will if I can.

Oklahoma here and the spring would be the best for me. AR has a lot of nice places, Oklahoma not as much, TX if it is not too hot. Sounds fun.

Glad to see people checking in. Its looking like AR is pretty central to most. Any other Arkansans have some good ideas on places we could go? Plenty of time to plan this out, just looking for ideas. I will do some more searching as soon as fall shows up, I got a few places in mind.

Thanks for the interest everyone.

Lake Greeson or Hot Springs areas would be nice. Need a good camping location.
