I'm all of a sudden in the market for a SOD, but not too keen on the secondary market prices. I could get a 711, but they're not really the same knife. That's my dilemma. I only want one so don't say "get both". WHAT DO I DO?!!!

I wa in the same boat. After I got my 7-11 I lost my desire for a SOD. The SOD is supposed to have more "heft" but to me the 7-11 is the perfect Res-c 7" camp knife.

If I found a SOD for around list price I would get it, but after the 7-11 there is no big need...

SR 101 or SY 77...SR 101 gets the nod for any price IMO, but at a cost that is less than SR77 seems to me to be the better option.

I do not own a SOD, so I cannot comment on it.

But, I do own 711s. Took one camping recently and it did everything I needed it to do! It's a great knife.
