Why those two and no Yard Keeper LE? Is it because of INFI?

I own all 3....well 4 if you take into account I have a anorexic and magnum version of he B4LE.

Talon hole on B4 is the only mentionable negative.

War Dog gets some love, but there is room in this world for an anorexic version, thicker than the Scrap Maxs...like the HACKs for example, but not hollow ground.

The YKLE is beefy, but because it lacks the talon hump, I like it a lot.

The YKLE is my third favorite offering from the Yard. I still want to know what "M-INFI" is? I didn't buy any of the Basic series because I didn't want nearly the full price of "regular" INFI but something described as "Modified Infi".

I mainly drew the comparison because they have the same handle......AND they are indeed INFI!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

I have no personal experience with the Yard Keeper LE, so it didn't even really come to mind. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/doh.gif" alt="" />

The new Basic LE series is not M-INFI, it's the real stuff!! The old CG Basic's were made of M-INFI, however.

They quit using M-INFI because the price of the steel got to the point where it wasn't any less expensive than the regular INFI.

I thought the entire Basic line was MINFI. I've passed on a few really good B4LE deals due to this misconception <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/banghead.gif" alt="" /> .

I believe the only M-INFI knives were the original "odd" basics, the 3, 5, 7, and 9. The last two of those were my very first Bussekin about 12 or 13 years ago.

that is correct the newer basic line, 4, 6, 10, 11 and someday 8 are all regular INFI

I say basic 4 simply because the War Dog is too thick for my liking.

I have both and to me they are different enough to have both. For hunting I like the Basic 4 anorexic better. The war dog seems like more of a bush craft or a fighter. Pretty stabby feeling
