Some of you guys know that i got to put a timber frame up. Several asked for pics. This is a link to the companies face book page with the pics. we were contracted to help two of the Vermont frame employees put up the frame. Very cool. Would love to help build one of these. I need to get into new construction again although half the fun of remodeling is making fun of how horribly the place was constructed in the first place <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

nice work gun dog. i was lucky enough to help cut a couple frames over the last few years, and it was some of the most rewarding work of my life. its like building a huge piece of furniture with precise joinery! i think its a great way to build a house.

It is made using large timbers for the the structural support of the house rather than 2x6 or 2x4 for you south dogs.
