I'm looking forward to one, but my only hesitancy is that the 3/16 with saber grind may be too thick for slicing and the coating may cause too much friction. What is the 411 especially good at?

Good all-around blade. Easy to carry on the belt because of its small size. Length is short enough not to be cumbersome but long enough to do many camp chores and even field dressing game. It may be too big for dove or squirrel but not overly so. I have thicker knives that I have used successfully for kitchen prep so that should not be a problem unless you are a Sushi Chef. Convexing the edge would take care of that concern. The coating is not rough enough to cause me any problems and it can be stripped if necessary. And the best part is that the 411 has Mudder handles!

I don't need a knife or a field to get dressed. And I can do it by myself, thank you very much. (cheeky bum looker!)

OK, so I feel a ganza coming (at least I hope so), but I don't really know much about how they work. Is it the same as at Blade - only a certain number of blades for sale? When it "opens" do you try to get an email to the shop or call to reserve a certain number of orders?

I'd appreciate your advice.

Here is the information for the last Ganza for the Tali-Whacker.
This was posted by the Busse Company.

Tali Whackaganzaaaaaa!!!!!! . . . .Specs, Rules, and Ordering Procedures!!!
The Tali WhackaGanzaaaaa will be April 25th 2013 between 9:00-10:00 pm Eastern Time. If the forums are shut down due to an overload in traffic, as has happened in past Extravaganzaaaas. . . I will continue to attempt posting the "Go" thread until I am able to get through on one of the 4 Busse Knife Group forums.

1) http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/fo...-Combat-Knives

2) http://www.scrapyardknives.com/ubbthreads/postlist.php?Cat=0&Board=Knives

3) http://www.swampratknifeworks.com/ratchat/

4) http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/fo...amp-Rat-Knives

Specifications

Blade Thickness: 3/16"
Blade Length: 7 1/4"
Overall Length: 12 1/2"
Blade Width: 1 1/2"
Grind: Saber with Chisel Tip
Finish: Hand Applied Satin Finish
Handle: Black Resiprene C
Steel: SR101 58-60Rc
Limited Edition: Serial Numbered
Price: Regular Price of $258.95 Special price if ordered within one hour of the "GO" thread being posted will be $198.95. All orders received after that will be charged at the regular price of $258.95.

EMERGENCY BACK-UP Plan!!!!!. . . If the forum shuts down and I am unable to post, or you cannot get on to see whether or not the "GO" thread has been posted, we are implementing an emergency back-up plan that consists of an automatic "GO" at 9:55 pm Eastern! Your email can not be marked any earlier than 9:55 pm Eastern unless I am able to post the "GO" thread before that time. . . . If the automatic "GO" is used then ALL EMAILS MARKED 9:54 pm or earlier will be put at the end of the line!!!!. . . So, be careful not to jump the gun boys!!!

1) We need to know the total number of Taliwhacker LE’s that you wish to order.

2) You must include your Forum name and your REAL name and address as well as phone numbers and any other pertinent info that we may need in order to contact you for payment and shipping info.

3) Email both Lexi at lexi@bussecombat.com and Jerry at jerry@bussecombat.com AFTER the "GO" Thread is posted by me on one of the Busse Knife Group Forums.

********WARNING!!! The INFI HOGs are a treacherous group and are not to be trusted!!! They will post under names that look similar to mine (Be sure that it says "Moderator" in red under my name if it is on Bladeforums) and they will bring up MANY false threads from the past in order to get others to order BEFORE the actual BladeShowGanzaaa GO THREAD!!!! DO NOT fall for this as so many have in the past and be left out in the cold.********

4) Orders are taken in the order in which the emails hit our inbox.

5) Serial Numbers: Serial numbers will be assigned in the order in which the emails are received. (Not in the order in which you post a response to the "GO" thread)

6) Delivery: Delivery of the first batch will be in a blistering 2-3 weeks from the last day of ordering with many of the earliest orders going out first.

7) Payment: You will not be charged until prior to delivery. However, you can divide your payments into 3 monthly installments beginning at the time of placing your order of approx $71.30 each, if you prefer.

**** Important Note: Those who intentionally overload their order request and then cancel most or part of their order AFTER notifications have been sent out, will lose their place and be put at the end of the line, where they may or may not get any of their requested knives. "Order loading" causes innumerable problems for our office. *******

We will need a few days to sort this thing out. Do not expect any notifications to be sent out for at least a week.

So, rev up your mouse and get ready for a Ganzaaaaa of Taliwhacker proportions!!!!

Good luck everyone . . .
